Latino Student Honor Roll awards students in Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) with a GPA 3.0 or higher and 3.75 or greater. This past March 21st, we would have celebrated the 20th Annual awards ceremony. At the first LSHR, there were only 1030 students awarded and today, there are 4,621 recipients meeting the criteria. In 2020 Latinos in OUSD comprise 45% of all students.
This event is very personal to us at SOURCETILES as one of our founders received this award in the past as a student in the OUSD. We are proud to be part of the sponsors, unfortunately due to the health emergency that we are experiencing this event had to be postponed. We believe student achievement needs to be lifted and recognized. Sourcetiles is committed to the continued support of the Latino Progress and Achievement in OUSD. We will post updates with new dates and photos of the event, in the meantime let's continue to design and stay healthy in place.
